This organic cotton voile scarf was designed in Brooklyn and then hand block printed using nontoxic dyes by a group of artisans in Bagru, India. The printed fabric was then cut and sewn by a small sewing shop here in the USA. We employ ethical, green practices that are kind to workers and the environment.
Your scarf purchase will support the efforts of the Western Watersheds Project, a leading advocacy, policy, and education organization focusing on, among other issues, protecting Sage Grouse populations and habitat in the American West. Once numbering in the millions in the Western sagebrush sea, greater sage-grouse have significantly declined from historic numbers by as much as 93%. The precipitous decline of sage-grouse is symptomatic of several factors all converging to make the sagebrush biome the most threatened landscape in North America. Public lands ranching, oil & gas drilling, climate change, fire, cheatgrass and expanding energy development are among the chief threats to the species. Read more about the Sage Grouse.
