This organic cotton voile scarf was designed in Brooklyn and then hand block printed using nontoxic dyes by a group of artisans in Bagru, India. The printed fabric was then cut and sewn by a small sewing shop here in the USA. We employ ethical, green practices that are kind to workers and the environment.
Your scarf purchase will support the efforts of the American Bird Conservancy, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to conserve native birds including the Cerulean Warbler and their habitats throughout the Americas. The Cerulean Warbler, a beautiful sky-blue bird, has experienced the greatest drop in population of all of the warbler birds. Between 1966 and 1999, it declined 70% thanks to habitat destruction and global warming. Read more about the Cerulean Warbler.
Colors: Turqoise, royal blue, chartreuse (stripe)
Size: 28 x 86 inches or so
Please note that this scarf was printed by hand so colors may vary and little imperfections should be expected.
Care: You can hand wash or machine wash your scarf in cold water. Gentle dry. To make your scarf a bit softer, add eco fabric softener (we like Method spray a lot!). No bleach. Iron if desired.
